Nazeli Baghdasaryan, Press Secretary of Armenia's Prime Minister, in response to a number of media questions, informs:
"The Republic of Armenia is considering the possibility of applying to the OSCE on the issue of dissolving the Minsk Group. In an interview given to Armenpress, On December 19, 2024, Prime Minister Pashinyan, answering the question of what is Armenia's position on the idea of disbanding the OSCE Minsk Group, stated:
(quote) "Constructive. We understand the position that if there is no conflict, what is the meaning of the conflict settlement format. But we also want to make sure that Azerbaijan approaches the issue with this same logic, and its motivation, let's say, for example, is not to implement an aggressive policy towards the territory of the Republic of Armenia by developing the, so-called, 'Western Azerbaijan' discourse" (end of quote).
In a post made on his Facebook page on January 8, 2025, Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized that there is no and cannot be West Azerbaijan in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, and emphasized the need for Azerbaijan to abandon that statement that calls into question the territorial integrity of Armenia and establish peace.
The Republic of Armenia definitely and unequivocally recognizes the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and is ready to reaffirm it by signing the peace treaty, as well as by implementing all other initiatives and steps mentioned in the above note.
It is important that Azerbaijan also definitely and unequivocally recognizes the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia."
