US President-elect Donald Trump announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed a desire to meet with him; the parties are making preparations for such a meeting.
“Putin wants to meet, and we are organizing it,” Trump told reporters.
Asked about the possibility of a trilateral meeting between himself, Putin, and Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Trump said that it would be decided later.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin said that he was ready to meet with Donald Trump at any time, but considered it more expedient to give him the opportunity to form his administration and take office.
