On January 8, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, Artur Poghosyan, met with a delegation led by the U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, Kristina Kvien.
According to the Investigative Committee, Artur Poghosyan highlighted the strong level of cooperation between the Investigative Committee of Armenia and the U.S. Embassy, as well as the support provided to the system.
Ambassador Kvien congratulated the Chairman on his appointment and expressed gratitude for initiating the meeting.
She also underscored the active partnership with the Investigative Committee and expressed confidence in the continued development of this collaboration.
During the discussion, Artur Poghosyan addressed the joint efforts of Armenia and the United States in combating transnational crimes.
The conversation also touched on the effectiveness of various courses and training sessions organized with the support of the U.S. Embassy, which aim to enhance the professional skills of Investigative Committee employees.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed appreciation for the prompt responses in the area of mutual legal assistance and reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation.
