The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) in Saudi Arabia issued multiple red alerts for high winds, low visibility, hail, flashfloods and thunderstorms across the Riyadh region, and have forecast rain in the region throughout the coming week.
Officials at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah warned of significant flight delays due to the weather.
