Dear compatriots, esteemed citizens,
Another year remains in the past. It was not an easy year for us, but, nevertheless, it was also full of positive achievements for the future of our country and people.
In 2024, the National Assembly adopted more than 515 laws, including ratifying an important historical document - the Regulation on the Joint Activities of the Commission on Delimitation and Border Security of the State Border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Commission on Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia: This is the first interstate document between the two countries since independence. Among the important achievements of 2024 were also the launch of the EU-Armenia visa liberalization dialogue process and the raising of relations of the Republic of Armenia with the USA, France, India and a number of other countries to a new level. The main and the most important objective of these and many other important steps is the security of Armenia and the establishment of long-term peace in the region.
Dear friends,
You probably remember that during last year's New Year message, I spoke about the wishes of our children, with which they turned to Santa Claus and wished for peace as a gift instead of a toy.
Today I can say that in 2024 we have done everything to make that wish a reality and are now very close to establishing lasting peace. We will continue this work during the coming year, and I hope that with united efforts we will succeed in the process of making peace a reality, fulfilling the dream of our children, our ancestors, and all of us to live in a peaceful, prosperous and secure Republic of Armenia.
There are only a few minutes left until the end of 2024, and today we look to the future, to 2025, with great hope and faith. We expect that the coming year will bring all the best to our families, our relatives, friends, and our children. May 2025 be a year of peace, may 2025 bring peace to our country, may the cry of newborn babies be constant in Armenian families throughout 2025, may 2025 be a year dedicated to our children, that is, the year of the future of our people.
And, of course, long live the Armenian people, long live the Republic of Armenia, and long live our children, who will live in a free, independent Republic of Armenia.
Welcome to the New Year, 2025.
Happy New Year and Merry Christmas.
May God protect us.
