Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has stated that he does not expect an escalation of the situation after the inauguration of Mikheil Kavelashvili on December 29.
He ruled out that Salome Zourabichvili will not leave the presidential residence, as this is a criminal offense punishable by 3-15 years in prison.
Kobakhidze noted that it is the duty of the authorities to warn Zourabichvili about this in order to avoid the unacceptable situation of her being forcibly removed from the residence and transferred to a penitentiary institution.
