On December 27 Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Kęstutis Budrys.
Minister Mirzoyan cordially congratulated his Lithuanian counterpart on assuming the office and emphasized his readiness to continue developing the already strong cooperation between the two countries through joint efforts.
The interlocutors touched upon the multifaceted agenda of the partnership between Armenia and Lithuania, which includes a range of areas of mutual interest, from democratic reforms to active sectoral cooperation and the strengthening of resilience.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Kęstutis Budrys also discussed prospects for deepening the partnership between Armenia and the European Union, highlighting continued support provided by Lithuania in this regard. Both sides emphasized the interest in expanding cooperation between Armenia and the Nordic-Baltic countries (NB8).
The foreign ministers of Armenia and Lithuania also exchanged views on regional developments. Minister Mirzoyan presented the efforts towards normalization of relations with neighbors, establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus and effectively overcoming the challenges in this way.
