Vakhtang Gomelauri, the Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs, has been appointed as Vice Prime Minister, the government administration says, Georgian Public Broadcaster reports.
Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze signed the order for Gomelauri’s appointment to this position.
The Georgian government has three Vice Prime Ministers: Levan Davitashvili serves as the First Vice Prime Minister and also holds the position of Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development; Irakli Chikovani serves as Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defence; and Vakhtang Gomelauri serves as both Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs.
