On December 20, the Head of the RA NA Friendship Group Armenia-Iran Narek Babayan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani.
Narek Babayan noted that change of composition took place in the friendship groups of the parliaments of the two countries and expressed conviction that the new members will have their active influence in deepening the inter-parliamentary further ties.
Mehdi Sobhani also mentioned that the changes will boost the development of the relations between the two countries. As the Ambassador assessed, the past year was marked by the implementation and progress of a number of important programmes.
Both sides underscored the importance of cooperation in the parliamentary format. Agenda items on the coming mutual visits were discussed. Reference was made to the increase of the trade turnover volume and cargo transportation.
