Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed the opinion that the possibility of war between Russia and NATO can be compared to a global apocalypse. In an interview with RIA Novosti, he noted that imagining such a scenario is like thinking about a catastrophic outcome for all mankind.
"To imagine such a scenario that NATO and Russia will come together in a hot war is like imagining a world apocalypse," the Azerbaijani leader noted.
In an interview with Dmitry Kiselyov, Director General of the international media group Rossiya Segodnya, Aliyev stressed that there would be no winners in such a conflict. He added that no country, even if it is far from the NATO region or Russia, will be able to feel safe in such a global instability.
