French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot reacted to the condolence post of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in his
X microblog.
"Thank you for the message of solidarity, dear Ararat Mirzoyan. Our thoughts are with the people of Mayotte, who were seriously affected by this disaster," he wrote.
There are many victims in Mayotte due to the destruction of Cyclone Chido. According to official data, 21 people died in the disaster, but the local authorities are confident that the number of victims will reach a thousand. 1500 people were injured, 200 are in serious condition.
Almost 70% of Mayotte's population was seriously affected, with entire neighborhoods reduced to rubble.
