On December 17 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates, Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.
The interlocutors discussed issues on the bilateral political agenda between Armenia and the UAE, emphasizing the positive dynamics of relations, achieved results and readiness to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Additional opportunities for deepening cooperation in the fields of trade, tourism, technology and infrastructure development were specified. Foreign Minister of Armenia underscored the need to continue active efforts to achieve more significant results, noting the mutual interest, political will and mutually beneficial prospects.
In the context of promoting investments, the importance of regular visits and conferences with the participation of business circles was emphasized.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Anwar Gargash exchanged views on regional issues. The Foreign Minister of Armenia presented Armenia's vision for establishing stability and peace in the South Caucasus, including the opportunities that would arise from the opening of regional communications.
The interlocutors also touched upon the recent developments in the Middle East.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister of Armenia congratulated the UAE President's Advisor on being awarded the Order of Friendship of the Republic of Armenia.
