On December 17, the Vice President of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan received the delegation led by the Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Anwar Garagash, Armenian Parliament Press office reports.
Welcoming the members of the delegation, Ruben Rubinyan noted that the United Arab Emirates is one of the important reliable partner countries of Armenia. He highly appreciated that partnership and noted that they are determined to deepen cooperation in both traditional and a number of new spheres.
He considered as an important achievement the mutual abolition of visa requirements for citizens of Armenia and the United Arab Emirates.
Ruben Rubinyan touched upon the normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations, the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as presented the Crossroads of Peace project authored by the Government.
Both sides highlighted the cooperation in parliamentary format. Ideas were exchanged on the issues on further promoting of cooperation in the spheres of high technology, education, trade, economy, tourism and a number of other ones.
