According to the information of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, in order to undermine the defense capability and economic security of the country, the gang planned to seize the state border customs post of Azerbaijan, taking the employees of the State Customs Committee and other persons serving there as hostages to present the demands. "As a result of the measures taken, the planned criminal operation was prevented," the media reported, referring to the State Security Service.
Three people were arrested and other members of the group were also involved in the investigation.
