On December 12, Armenian Ambassador in Brussels Tigran Balayan delivered a lecture on “Armenia-EU Relations and Future Prospects” to about 170 students and professorial staff of the Faculty of “Geopolitical Developments in Eurasia” at the KU Leuven.
Speaking about the prospects for Armenia’s economic development, Ambassador Balayan focused on the “Crossroads of Peace” project and the information technology sector.
Lecture was followed by Q&A session, where Tigran Balayan touched upon Armenia’s approaches to resolving regional issues, the activities being undertaken to strengthen defense capabilities and the negotiations on the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement, emphasizing the imperative of establishing lasting peace and creating a cooperative atmosphere in the region.
At the end of the lecture, Ambassador Balayan granted history books and books about the cultural heritage of Armenia to the university library.
