He stated that Moscow hopes that the situation in Syria will be stabilized as soon as possible and will be transferred to the legal field. Peskov added that Russia once helped Syria defeat the terrorists and stabilize the situation.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov also informed that the Russian Embassy to Syria continues its work, but in the conditions of serious security threats.
Ryabkov also assured that Bashar Assad is now in a safe place. "He is in Russia, and Moscow will continue to support the former President of Syria," said the diplomat and noted that Russia acts as it should in such emergency situations.
