The appointment of Charles Kushner (who is the father-in-law of President-elect Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump) as the US Ambassador to France is connected with a special relationship with this country, Donald Trump said in an interview with Paris Match newspaper.
“Yes, it is a special treatment. It does not happen every day to appoint a family member to a foreign country. He is Ivanka’s father-in-law and a very good friend of mine, but also a very talented and elegant man. He is delighted with this mission. France was his first choice,” Trump noted.
