Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Armenia Alfonso Di Riso, who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country.
The Prime Minister noted that during the Ambassador’s tenure, a positive dynamic of cooperation has been formed between Armenia and Italy and expressed hope that in the near future it will not only be maintained, but also continue to develop and strengthen. Nikol Pashinyan attached importance to the expansion of bilateral ties, including in the political, economic, and cultural spheres.
Alfonso Di Riso thanked the Prime Minister for the close cooperation and noted that economic ties have developed in recent years, particularly in the textile sector. The Ambassador also highlighted the importance of implementing joint programs in the cultural sector and added that work on organizing a new exhibition is currently underway.
During the meeting, the latest developments in the discussions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, as well as work on the border demarcation process, were referred to.
