Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili met with the EU Ambassador to Georgia, Pawel Herczynski, 1tv.ge reports.
According to the ministry’s press office, the meeting covered “important aspects of Georgia-EU relations”, noting that “Georgia is committed to fulfilling its EU obligations and is ready to prepare the country for EU membership.”
“The necessity of resolving the difficulties that have arisen lately in relations and of objective assessments of the ongoing processes was emphasized.
In turn, the EU Ambassador expressed concern regarding the current events in Georgia.
The Georgian side expressed concern that political speculation related to the elections continues and the messages expressed in the European Parliament resolution contribute to the formation of the artificial crisis in the country, similar to 2020,” reads the ministry’s statement.
The meeting highlighted “the need for dialogue between the parties.”
