On the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Juraj Blanár, Armenia's Foreign Ministry reports.
The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of bilateral cooperation between Armenia and Slovakia, emphasizing the willingness to give new impetus to cooperation in various directions through high-level mutual visits.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Juraj Blanár exchanged views on the EU enlargement processes. The active dynamics of discussions on the formation of a new agenda for the Armenia-EU Partnership were noted with satisfaction, and their main components, including dialogue on political and security matters, were touched upon.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Slovakia discussed regional issues. Minister Mirzoyan presented in detail the work towards normalization of relations with neighbors and establishment of stable peace in the South Caucasus. Referring to the progress made in the delimitation of the state border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Minister Mirzoyan stressed the importance of signing the peace treaty in the shortest possible timeframe.
As an important guarantee for the effective implementation of the peace agenda, the issues of unblocking regional communications and the "Crossroads of Peace" concept developed by the Government of Armenia were touched upon.
