Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Sahak Sargsyan presented his letter of credence to Zainab Hawa Bangura, UN Under-Secretary General and Director General of the UN Office in Nairobi (UNON), assuming his duties as Permanent Representative of Armenia to UNON, UN-HABITAT and UNEP.
The Director General congratulated the Ambassador, wishing him success in his new position. Ambassador Sargsyan reiterated Armenia’s commitment to deepening its engagement in the UNON and two UN Agencies headquartered in Nairobi.
The parties exchanged views on current cooperation and its prospects, highlighting the importance of concerted efforts to advance the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
