Vice President of Turkey Cevdet Yılmaz stated, "We will not tolerate or allow any structures that are operating in Syria against Turkey, against our people, and against our national integrity."
Yılmaz made statements at the 8th Ordinary District Congress of the AK Party in Mamak. Referring to the developments in Syria, Yılmaz emphasized that they will not allow any structure that threatens Turkey's integrity.
Yılmaz said: "As Turkey, we have only one wish. The arrival of peace in Syria, the establishment of stability, and the creation of a much more positive environment for both our brothers living in Syria and for Turkey. The way to achieve this is clear: a political solution that embraces all sectors in Syria must be created. As long as a solution that encompasses all sectors in Syria, regardless of their beliefs, sects, or ethnic backgrounds, is not established, peace will not come to Syria.
Yılmaz, who stated that Turkey closely follows the developments in Syria and makes every diplomatic effort, said: "Another sensitivity we have regarding Syria is this; we will not tolerate or allow any structures that are operating in Syria against Turkey, against our people, and against our national integrity. Everyone should know this. Turkey is a country that supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria in this context. It only wants peace and stability in its neighbor, and it wants all Syrian brothers, regardless of their identity, to live in peace. We will continue with the same understanding, hopefully."
