Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to the newly elected President of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay Yamandú Orsi on his election to office. The message reads:

I am confident that during your tenure, friendly Uruguay will continue to steadily advance along the path of economic development, protection of human rights, and strengthening of democracy.
I highly appreciate the historically established friendly relations between Armenia and Uruguay and note with satisfaction that in recent years they have entered a new stage of development.
The large Armenian community in Uruguay also plays a significant role in deepening cooperation between our states.
