Georgia is no longer interested in following the path of integration into the European Union for the next 4 years. This is a sovereign decision of the Georgian Government, it is extremely disappointing, extremely sad, Pawel Herczynski, Ambassador of the European Union Georgia told journalists, IPN reports.
"We opened our door, the door of the European Union to Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Ukraine and Moldova are moving forward quickly. As we heard yesterday, Georgia is no longer interested in following the path of integration into the European Union for the next 4 years. This is the sovereign decision of the Georgian Government, it is extremely disappointing, extremely sad," the ambassador noted.
According to him, Georgian people should decide themselves where they want their country to be.
"My message will be, we support the Georgian people, we will wait for you. This is your country, you have to decide where you want it to be," said the Ambassador.
