People have assembled near the Parliament of Georgia in the capital Tbilisi to protest against the government's decision regarding the talks on the country's accession to the European Union, News Georgia reports.
The official start of the respective rally is scheduled for 7p.m.
University students also will join the demonstration near the Parliament. They will hold a march there from their universities. Earlier today, three universities announced the suspension of classes in protest of the authorities' decision.
At 6 p.m., the members of the media will gather at Tbilisi's Republic Square to express solidarity with more than 20 reporters who were injured by the operations of special forces the previous day.
Protests are being staged in Zugdidi, Gori, Batumi, Lagodekhi, and Kutaisi cities as well.
