On November 26, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan had a meeting with Nuno Sampaio, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Portugal.
During the meeting, the interlocutors commended the positive dynamics in Armenia-Portugal relations, emphasizing the commitment of both countries to advancing and deepening political dialogue. In this context, the prospects for expanding the bilateral agenda and enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest were touched upon.
The parties emphasized the importance of the established partnership within international organizations, as well as the need to further intensify direct engagements within multilateral platforms.
Vahan Kostanyan briefed his counterpart on the vision and ongoing efforts of Armenia aimed at establishing stability and peace in the South Caucasus.
Touching upon the Armenia-EU partnership Vahan Kostanyan highlighted the importance of support from Portugal in advancing and deepening Armenia-EU cooperation.
