"In terms of cooperation with the European Union, 2024 has been unique because we have already started working together on two programs: the Peace Instrument and the visa liberalization initiative. We have also expressed a desire to discuss security issues with the European Union," stated President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan during a joint press conference with the President of Poland. The remarks were made in response to a question about how Armenia plans to leverage Poland's presidency of the EU Council in 2025.
"We envision EU activities in 2025 within the framework of these discussions, including during Poland's presidency and mission period. I am confident that this cooperation will be successful because, in our work with the European Union, we have always felt Poland's support for various initiatives. This support is also due to the fact that Poland has a better understanding and a clearer view of Armenia’s situation, considering our shared history as part of the socialist system for many years," the President added.
