Azerbaijan continues active militarization and increases military spending to 8 billion 396 million manats ($4 billion 939 million) by 2025, Azerbaijani media reported.
The financing of these costs will be provided by the transfer of 1 billion 700 million manats from the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan to the state budget.
In the 2025 expenditure structure, 2 billion 665.2 million manats are allocated to the armed forces, 467 million 917 thousand to national security, 540 million 314 thousand to the border service. Also, 4 billion 717.4 million manats are planned for defense and other actions related to the field of national security.
