Armenia's Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan submitted his resignation.
“I have tendered my resignation today and I am leaving the position of Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures,” Sanosyan said in a statement on social media on Monday.
He thanked the Prime Minister for the trust and opportunity to serve in the position. Sanosyan also thanked Cabinet members, Government officials and lawmakers for the joint work.
“My tenure of more than three years was full of multiple challenges. In addition to everyday work we faced unexpected issues requiring urgent solutions almost daily. Budling new roads, the forced displacement from Nagorno-Karabakh, floods. And these are just the most major challenges,” Sanosyan said, adding that he personally conducted provincial visits every week during his tenure.
Gnel Sanosyan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for the trust and opportunity, to the deputy Prime Ministers, fellow Ministers, the Prime Minister’s staff, representatives of legislative and executive bodies, subordinate bodies, governors, heads of local self-government bodies, international and local partners, and his team at the Ministry of Territorial Administration.
"I full of hope that the most important domains under the coordination of the ministry [of territorial administration and infrastructure of Armenia] will continue to be managed with the same compassion for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia. I am leaving behind a huge amount of work done, so I am leaving calmly and peacefully," Sanosyan wrote, in particular.
