Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky ensured in an interview with Suspline published on Friday that the war between his country and Russia "will end faster" under the administration of United States President-elect Donald Trump.
"The war will end, but there is no exact date. Certainly, with the policies of this team that will now lead the White House, the war will end faster. This is their approach, their promise to their society, and it is also very important to them," Zelensky said.
Asked whether Trump required Kyiv to participate in negotiations with Moscow, Zelensky responded that Ukraine "is an independent country" and that “sit and listen” rhetoric does not work with the Ukrainian people.
