Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov commented on the possibility of signing a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan by the end of the year, noting that there is no clear agreement yet.
According to Bayramov, one of the important components of the negotiation process is face-to-face contacts, but currently the Azerbaijani side is focused on COP29.
“That is why holding meetings before December is not possible. December or January is another matter. There is no clear agreement on this matter yet. At the same time, work on the document continues,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister said.
He also touched upon the issue of unblocking transport communications, noting that there are still open issues in this direction. According to Bayramov, for a long time now, work has been underway at a rapid pace on the territory of Azerbaijan to create a transport infrastructure, which will soon be brought to the border with Armenia.
