Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy, who is the laureate of the State Award of the Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution in the High-Tech Sphere.
The Prime Minister praised Narayana Murthy’s contribution in the high technologies sector and said that Murthy is an example for Armenian young people with prospect and potential for high-tech activities, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a readout of the meeting.
Pashinyan underscored that the IT sector is an absolute priority for the Armenian government and that he attaches importance to possible cooperation with Murthy.
Narayana Murthy thanked the Prime Minister for the appreciation and underscored his warm attitude for Armenia and the Armenian people.
He said Armenian specialists in the high-tech sector have great potential and he is ready to share his experience and contribute to the development of the sector in Armenia.
The awarding ceremony of the State Award of the Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution in the High-Tech Sphere will take place on November 15.
