Armenia's Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met in Yerevan with visiting Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut.
Papoyan underscored the importance of bilateral cooperation, especially in the area of food security.
Issues pertaining to increasing trade turnover with Russia, ensuring food security, organizing exports of food products, development of pedigree livestock breeding, acquisition of animal vaccines, exports of alcohol drinks, as well as the use of pesticides in agricultural crop cultivation were discussed, the ministry said in a press release.
The sides attached importance to the expansion of the existing cooperation in agriculture and expressed readiness to make continuous steps in that direction.
