Reuters. Smoke rose over Beirut's southern suburbs on Tuesday (November 12), following Israeli strikes.
IDF spokesman for the Arab Media, Avichay Adraee, earlier warned residents of the impending strikes on his X account. 'You are located near Hezbollah facilities and interests, against which the IDF will act forcefully in the near future,' he said on X.
Earlier residents of the northern Lebanese town of Ain Yaaqoub searched through the rubble for belongings, a day after an Israeli strike in the area killed at least 30 people and injured many, the town's mayor said.
The Lebanese government, which includes Hezbollah, has repeatedly called for a ceasefire based on the full implementation of a U.N. Resolution that ended a war between the group and Israel in 2006.
Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz, earlier said on X on Tuesday that during a meeting with military officials, he reiterated that Israel will continue hitting Hezbollah with full force and that there will be no ceasefire.
Since hostilities erupted a year ago, Israeli attacks on Lebanon have killed 3,243 people and injured 14,134, the Lebanese health ministry said. Its figures do not distinguish between civilians and combatants.
Hezbollah attacks have killed roughly 100 civilians and soldiers in northern Israel, the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, and southern Lebanon over the last year.
