On November 12 in Stockholm Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Minister for EU Affairs of Sweden Jessica Rosencrantz.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the progress made towards deepening the Armenia-EU partnership, which has been reflected in various areas of cooperation as well as in the draft of the new Partnership Agenda.
Foreign Minister of Armenia emphasized the statement made by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in the European Parliament, according to which Armenia is ready to come closer to the EU as much as the EU considers possible. Minister Mirzoyan also informed the interlocutor about the active discussions within the society of Armenia regarding the deepening of the partnership with the EU. Ministers of Armenia and Sweden agreed to look into new opportunities for cooperation and initiatives between the two countries, which could further foster cooperation between Armenia and EU in various domains.
In the context of regional security, Minister Mirzoyan briefed his interlocutor on the recent developments in the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
