French President Emmanuel Macron and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev have signed a
joint declaration during Tokayev's visit to France, in which they have expressed full support for the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the signing of a peace agreement between these two countries without delay. This was reported by the official website of the Elysee Palace, citing the joint declaration by the presidents of France and Kazakhstan on the strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
"The presidents expressed full support for the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the signing as soon as possible of an agreement that will establish a just and stable peace in the region, based on the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration, respecting the territorial integrity of both states," it is said, in particular, in the aforementioned joint declaration.
It is added that in this joint declaration by the presidents of France and Kazakhstan, the two parties emphasized also the importance of stability in the South Caucasus for the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
