On November 5, Ambassador Makunts participated in a series of visits to polling stations in Washington D.C. and Virginia on U.S. 2024 Election Day. The visit was organized by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) and included a delegation from Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission, headed by Chairman Vahagn Hovakimyan.
The delegation observed the voting process at three polling locations, gaining firsthand experience of U.S. election techniques, including the role of technology, as well as voting procedures․
