Armenia’s proposals to Azerbaijan regarding regional unblocking fall under the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative, detailed in the National Assembly by Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan. He emphasized that these detailed proposals exclude any third-party control.
Hovhannisyan confirmed that Armenian Ambassador to Belgium, Tigran Balayan, received threats from the Azerbaijani ambassador. Politico reported the incident occurred at a reception held by the Turkish embassy in Brussels in honor of Turkey’s national holiday.
“Yes, insults and threats were made during the reception, which we formally reported to Belgium and the EU. An investigation is underway.
There is still no response,” said Paruyr Hovhannisyan.
