Uruguay has commended the progress achieved at the level of border commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“Uruguay highlights the progress made in the work at the level of the Commission on Border Delimitation and Security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, which includes the entry into force on November 1, 2024 of the agreed regulations to continue with the aforementioned delimitation, based on the principle of territorial integrity and in accordance with internationally recognized borders,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“These advances are a new sign of the promotion of mutual trust, and constitute fundamental steps towards the goal of normalizing relations between both countries and achieving a definitive peace, which will bring stability, prosperity and sustainable development to the entire region,” the Ministry noted.
