The official opening of the Armenia-France Friendship Room was held Thursday at the United Nations Office at Geneva.
One of the working rooms where international meetings and events are held of the aforesaid office will be called Armenia-France Friendship Room from now on.
The speakers at the event congratulated on this significant occasion, and emphasized that this naming of such a room at the UN office in Geneva is an important symbol of Armenia's sovereignty. Also, they reflected on Armenia's history, independence, and age-old Armenian-French ties and expanding cooperation.
After the remarks, a reception dedicated to Armenia's recent Independence Day anniversary was held by the permanent mission of Armenia to the UN office in Geneva.
Many ambassadors accredited in Geneva, diplomats, members of the Swiss Armenian community, public figures, as well as cultural and scholar figures attended this event.
