During her speech at the plenary session of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Milli Mejlis referred to the resolution on the "situation in Azerbaijan, violations of human rights and international law and relations with Armenia" adopted in the European Parliament.
According to Sahiba Gafarova, it is another politically biased action against Azerbaijan, which, according to her formulation, is built on slander, lies and false information.
"It is unfortunate that the European Parliament has become a tool of black forces carrying out a hostile and slanderous campaign against Azerbaijan," the official said.
She added that Baku rejects the allegedly groundless and absurd accusations, threats and demands against it.
"The European Parliament not only shows a biased attitude towards the historical and current realities of our region, but also challenges the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state," Gafarova said.
To remind, during the recent hearings on the issue of Azerbaijan in the European Parliament, a number of MEPs expressed concern that the climate conference is being held in a country that has serious environmental problems, attacked Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia, refuses to sign peace with Armenia and consistently harms Baku - EU relations.
