President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, congratulated the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, on the victory of the Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia party in the recent parliamentary elections. The administration of the Azerbaijani president published the congratulatory message, Georgian Public Broadcaster reports.
In his letter, Aliyev emphasized that the election results reflect the Georgian people’s support for stability, development, and traditional values. He expressed confidence that the victory of the ruling party would promote the growth and prosperity of Georgia and further strengthen relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
“The citizens of Georgia have confirmed their commitment to development, stability, and traditional values. I believe that the election outcome will also enhance our interstate relations, built on historical friendship and good neighbourliness, and contribute to the prosperity of the South Caucasus,” Aliyev stated.
The Azerbaijani president also invited Kobakhidze to visit Azerbaijan for official discussions, expressing his belief that the two countries will continue their strategic partnership to promote regional security and cooperation.
“I am certain we will make joint efforts to advance our bilateral and multilateral activities for the benefit of our countries and the region,” Aliyev added, concluding with wishes for peace and prosperity to the Georgian people.
