The meeting of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian took place in Kazan, Armenian government’s press office reports.
The Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the dynamic nature of the relations with Iran and emphasized that since President Pezeshkian took office, this dynamic has not only been preserved, but has also developed. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the further development of relations with Iran is one of the priorities of the Armenian Government.
The President of Iran emphasized the continuous development and expansion of cooperation with Armenia, including in the fields of economy and culture. Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that the priority of his country is to develop relations with neighboring and friendly countries, adding that Armenia is one of those countries.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the bilateral agenda. In particular, issues related to cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, and infrastructure were addressed.
The sides exchanged ideas on regional and international issues. The interlocutors emphasized the implementation of consistent steps towards ensuring peace and stability. The leaders of Armenia and Iran expressed confidence that strong and deep bilateral relations will contribute to the development of regional cooperation.
