Why do we consider the process of delimitation positive with risks, because we consider that the risks of the absence of the delimitation process are hundreds and thousands of times greater. Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this in the National Assembly, answering the question of Gegham Manukyan, deputy of the 'Hayastan' (Armenia) faction.
"There is a risk in leaving the house in the morning, there is a risk in the weather, there is a risk in the rain.
The question is: do the mechanisms within that regulation enable risk management? Our assessment is that they provide an opportunity," Pashinyan said.
"I say, not a single millimeter of the sovereign territory of Armenia is subject to negotiation. This has been, continues to be and will remain our principle."
According to the Prime Minister, the ratified regulation and the delimitation process will provide all opportunities to ensure the integrity and security of the sovereign territory of Armenia through peaceful negotiations.
Speaking about the maps underlying the delimitation, the Prime Minister said. "The delimitation map is not a textbook atlas that has only one page, it has dozens of pages. I am saying now that we have all those maps that record the de jure borders of Armenia. They are not one, not two, not three. The entire perimeter of Armenia is covered by these maps."
The Prime Minister also clarified that the term historical and real Armenia does not mean denying our history.
"Tigran the Great is our king, our history is our history, we have no debate there, our debate is about the future, it is about the vision of the future, and the real Armenia is about our vision of today and the future," he said.
