It was during the previous question-and-answer session when we talked about the principles of our foreign policy, and we said that we have adopted a balancing and balanced foreign policy, and with this logic, we are participating in the meeting in the 3+3 format. It is important for us to be present at different platforms of discussions and to share Armenia's views and positions with different partners on different platforms and also to listen to their messages, especially since the current BRICS summit refers, as it is formulated, to the problems of the 'Global South', and I think: that agenda is directly related to Armenia. Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this during the Parliament-Government question-and-answer session, answering the question of Shirak Torosyan, deputy of 'Civil Contract' faction, regarding expectations from the BRICS summit.
"We have a problem, and it is an important opportunity for us, including to present the project 'Crossroads of Peace'. You know, and I say this with pleasure, it is clear that the interest in Crossroads of Peace among the international community is growing steadily, and platforms like this are important for us to say what we have to say.
The most important motive is this, but no less important motive is that we received an invitation from the President of the Russian Federation personally, and I accepted that invitation, and I think that being there is important for Armenia.
Recently, I was also in New York, I participated in the UN General Assembly, I participated in the Francophonie Summit, and I think that Armenia contacts on different platforms, sharing views and also hearing assessments about not only our region, but also global developments are very important, because that information helps us to better orientate ourselves in the extremely complex modern world," said the Prime Minister.
