At the session of the NA (National Assembly) Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, the issue of ratifying the regulation 'On the Joint Activities of the State Border Delimitation Commissions between Armenia and Azerbaijan' is discussed.
The main speaker is Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, the related speaker is Deputy Sargis Khandanyan.
After receiving a positive conclusion, the regulation will be submitted to the Parliament for approval.
Mher Grigoryan mentioned that there will be no explanation for Armenia and Azerbaijan not ratifying it under any pretext.
"However, if something like this happens, then we have a final stage after ratification, that the regulation will come into force, when we, according to international law, exchange the original notifications. Naturally, if the ratification process is not completed by one of the parties, or reservations are set in connection with it, the exchange of notifications will not take place, the process will be interrupted. I think that we will not have a legal situation that after our ratification, ours will enter into force, and we will not have the ratified text on the Azerbaijani side," he said.
We remind you that the obligations stipulated in the regulations of the delimitation commissions by the decision of the Constitutional Court on September 26 are in accordance with the Constitution.
The Government approved the draft regulation law on September 5.
The regulation was signed on August 30.
