The statement adopted after the European Union (EU) summit, which talks about the de facto blocking of the process of Georgia's accession to the EU while mentioning Moldova and Ukraine positively, is biased. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated, speaking with reporters on Friday.
"At the same time, positive assessments are given regarding Ukraine and Moldova, where television channels and political parties are being closed one after another [in accordance with the decision of the European Council].
There is no media pluralism, there is no political pluralism, corruption is rampant, there are serious problems, institutions are extremely weak. And on top of all that, Moldova remains a member of the CIS. The main thing here is objectivity, which society does not see," Kobakhidze said.
