Moscow, Ankara and Tehran offered Yerevan and Baku to use the '3+3' platform to complete the work on the peace treaty. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the end of the meeting of the '3+3' platform (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia - Russia, Turkey, Iran) regarding the South Caucasus.
According to him, Moscow recalled the foundations that were created within the framework of the trilateral work of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, both at the level of leaders, foreign ministers and others.
In addition, he said that there are issues related to the Armenian-Turkish settlement. "So far, no meetings are planned, the Armenian partners have taken a break. They believe that first they should communicate directly with the Turks and understand what needs to be done," added the Russian Foreign Minister, TASS reports.
At the end of 2020, the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey took the initiative of the six-party format of cooperation around the South Caucasus, later it received the name '3+3'. The last meeting at the level of foreign ministers took place in Tehran in October 2023.
