NATO exercises "Strong Griffin 2024" are starting at the General Silvestras Žukauskas training ground in the Švenčionys district of Lithuania, in which about 2,5 thousand troops from the United States, Great Britain and Poland will take part. 250 units of equipment will be involved.
The official goal of the maneuvers is to practice interaction between Lithuanian units and NATO allies and jointly plan defensive operations.
