Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Baghdad on Sunday on an official visit.
The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi arrived in the capital, Baghdad, on an official visit Araqchi's visit to Baghdad aims to discuss the efforts made to prevent the expansion of the war and push towards a ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza, while Iran and Iraq will have a common position on the war and preventing harm to civilians, especially in Gaza and Lebanon the two countries will also try to distance the region from Zionist adventures by establishing peace."
The visit is part of a series of trips made by Araghchi in the region, including meetings with officials from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Lebanon regarding ending the war although this trip will be short, it will be of particular importance in continuing diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions, according to sources who spoke to Iranian media.
